AMOS Perth (WA) Regional Centre members collectively have a wide range of experience in research, teaching and practical applications of the atmospheric and oceanographic sciences. The committee meets occasionally to conduct business, including planning events such as public lectures and student activities in Perth. The Centre has hosted the national conference, most recently in 2020 in Fremantle (https://amos-2020.w.amos.currinda.com/). The Centre aims to cultivate interest in the atmospheric and oceanographic sciences among its members (including students, teachers, academics, and researchers) and the broader WA public.
